Congratulations to Jeremy Earnest, Senior who earned a coveted singing spot in the NAfME All-National Honor Choir. The NAfME All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) represent the most elite performing high school musicians in the United States. So much more than a musical ensemble, it is a comprehensive musical and educational experience. The ensembles met at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas on November 10-13, under the batons of leaders in the field of music education. The NAfME All-National Honor Ensembles are represented in the following components: Concert Band, Mixed-Choir, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble.
Singers in Mixed-Choir rehearsed for three days, under the direction of Dr. Anton Armstrong, the Tosdal Professor of Music at St. Olaf College, in Grand Rapids, MI.
Jeremy was the only singer selected to participate in the NAfME All-National Honor Choir from Berks County, one of three singers selected from PA District 10, and one of 30 singers selected from the entire state. This is the second year Jeremy has performed at the National level. As a sophomore, he competed and was selected for PMEA District Chorus, PMEA Regional Chorus, and PMEA State Chorus. He then earned a spot in the 2015 NAfME All-National Honor Choir, held in Nashville, TN.
